Harold Schwartz brings more than 40 years of experience to his current roles at DMG Financial. He began his career in the industry in 1975 with New York Life. He joined E F Hutton in 1982 to broaden the product selections he could offer his clients. His strengths in life insurance came to the attention of management, and in 1988 when Shearson Lehman Brothers bought Hutton, he was made First Vice President and National Product Director. He served in that capacity for over four years. In 1993 Mr. Schwartz launched his own firm, the Del Mar Group, Inc. From 1995 through 2006 he crisscrossed the country doing public seminars. During that time he was recognized for his achievements with membership on the Fidelity Advisor Council in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014; and for twelve consecutive years membership in the Million Dollar Round Table’s TOP of The Table, a designation achieved by only .5 percent of all financial services professionals. In 2003 he expanded his services to include complete money management, including fee-based planning. Today Hal manages over $100 million in assets for clients across the country.

The son of a former Cuban political prisoner who was released to the United States with his wife and young child in 1967, Jorge Perez has experienced the full promise of the American dream. A graduate of Wayne State University School of Business Administration, Jorge holds a degree in accounting. His extensive training in the insurance and financial services fields includes graduation from the Licensed Underwriter Training Course (LUTC) and continuing education through memberships in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), and the Trusted Choice agents’ group. His track record includes several National Quality Awards and seven President’s Club Awards for production from 1999–2010 resulting in the esteemed Hanover Million Dollar Club award. As founder of Soper, Perez & Associates*, Jorge Perez has served as president of his independent insurance firm since 1990, garnering extensive expertise in all facets of the insurance industry in the process. His three decades in the insurance industry guide Jorge in providing clients with the sound professional judgment needed to help them meet their goals. Over the years, he has ensured that his firm focuses on honesty, integrity and concern for his clients’ insurance needs.
Karen Schwartz has been in the insurance industry since 1981. She has worked for both independent brokerage firms as well as the home office of ING Security Life of Denver. She has been an integral part of DMG Financial since 2003, and created many of the operational procedures that we still rely upon. Today she is our Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for the smooth running of the home office.

Cathy brings to her current role at DMG Financial her more than 30 years in the industry. She was first introduced to marketing financial services products in 1985 when she joined E. F. Hutton Life as its Marketing Communications Director. While in that role she and her team won over 30 industry awards and helped create programs that the rest of the industry quickly copied. She has continued to create marketing campaigns for financial services professionals and companies like DMG Financial ever since. She is the creator behind our newsletters, marketing campaigns, multimedia presentations, and more.

An accredited Asset Management Specialist by the College of Financial Planning, Ed has been in the industry since 1997, and has served in such capacities as financial advisor, private client investment representative, compliance manager and wholesaler. He has worked for several industry leaders in the financial services sector. A native Coloradoan, Ed earned his bachelor of arts degree in U.S. history from the University of Colorado. Ed holds the following licenses: Series 7 and 63, 65, 9/10, 24, and Life, Health and Variable lines licenses.

A native of Pittsburgh, Dan attended Duquesne University where he studied business, with emphasis on marketing. He has been a life and health insurance producer since 1972, adding a securities license to his professional accreditation in 1984. He has earned his Life Underwriters Training Council designation as well. He joined American National Insurance Company in 1982, and proceeded to win just about every honor the company had to offer, including the prestigious “Top Producer” designation for life insurance sales. Dan loves travel, scuba diving, and sailing, and he has his pilot’s license. He has five grown children and seven grandchildren.
